De Peana George, 85, former athlete, labour leader and ILO adviser, passed away peacefully on Monday 26th July 2021. He was the son of the late Ralph and Hilda De Peana. Husband of Leila (nee Bouyea). Father of Kenneth, Andre and Shavane. Grandfather of Jonathan, Chaim, Roshaude and Aliya. Brother of Albert (dec.) (Daphne). Father-in-law of Marian (dec.), Beverly, Sattiyum and Kenyatta. Brother-in-law of Roy (dec.) (Avril), Jean (dec.) (Clement (dec.)), Maurice (Gloria), Lennox (Bernice (dec.)), Louis (dec.) (Connie (dec.)). Uncle, friend and colleague of many. The funeral service for the late George De Peana takes place at Clark & Battoo’s Chapel, 11 Tragarete Road, Port-of-Spain on Friday August 6th at 8:30AM, followed by a private cremation. Following Covid-19 restrictions only invited family & friends will be allowed to attend the funeral service. Funeral service streamed live on Clark & Battoo’s You Tube Channel.
