ROBERTS, MRS MILDRED EVELINA, better known as Millie, Aunty Millie, Mother Robbie, Teacher Robbie of 34 Fourth Cross Street, Sparrow Drive, Simeon Road, Petit Valley died on March 11th , 2019 at age 95 years. She was the daughter of the late Rose Albertha Edwards and Matthias Edwards of Moriah, Tobago; wife of the late Claudius Roberts, mother of Kenrick, Laura and Hentley (deceased), mother-in-law of Vedelia, Ruth and Mabrak; grandmother of Tymone, Trevyn, Rhetia, Sonielle, Nehanda and Gyasi; great-grandmother of Briana, Desrol Jr.,Ethan and Levi; sister of as Herry and Bertrand, both deceased, Thelma, Gaston and Annetta.
She was the aunt of many and godmother of David Johnson of Canada, and cousin of the Warners. She was the sister-in-law of the Leiths and the Roberts of Tobago. She was a close friend of Mother Ruby Moore and many others. She was also a long-standing member of the Mount Hope Spiritual Baptist Church and of Christ’s Redeemed Spiritual Baptist Church.
The homegoing service for the late Mildred Roberts will be held at the Tranquillity Methodist Church, Tragarete Road, Port of Spain at 11.00 am on Friday 15th March, 2019 followed by interment at the Lapeyrouse Cemetery, Port of Spain.
